Australian wool has a long, proud history dating back to the 1780's and is generally considered the best quality in the world.

Brett Woods is MiniJumbuk's newly appointed Chief Operating Officer. Starting his career as a wool buyer at Michell Wool, Brett has been buying and trading wool for over 25 years and has experienced many facets of the wool industry. He has been lucky to travel and become familiar with wool supply chains in other major wool producing countries including NZ, South Africa, Argentina and Uruguay. Brett believes categorically that the Australian supply chain from sheep through to early stage processing is clearly the best in the world. In terms of quality and performance he just keeps coming back to Australian wool.

In Brett's opinion, what sets Australian wool apart from other origins is the expertise our wool growers have in regards to breeding, animal husbandry and the genuine care they have for their sheep. Australian sheep are shorn every 6 to12 months which keeps them in optimum condition for lambing and reproducing quality wools. Our climate and environment are well suited to produce excellent colour, length and strong wools which in turn allows MiniJumbuk to create world class bedding products.

And when it comes to sourcing the best of the best - MiniJumbuk obtains our Australian wools through long established supply relationships. Our suppliers are part of our team; they are emotionally invested in our company and products. Our suppliers have expertise in hand selecting specific wools that are well suited to our products and we work closely with them to ensure our specifications are met. For MiniJumbuk customers, Australian wool is the only wool.
