'Well, primarily beds are for sleeping, but what else do you do in a bed? Well I have day dreamed and I've cried, and laughed and raged. I've run away from the world, pulled the covers over my head when it's all been too hard. I've crawled in and curled up when I've felt sick or sad. I've laid with my sisters wee babies singing them to sleep. Lay awake for hours rejoicing over some glorious event or reliving a wonderful experience in my head. I've spent nights with lovers. I've spent long nights watching over sick kids. I've squeezed myself into the space around a frail aged loved one, watching the rise and fall of long laboured breaths. So many experiences that are not sleeping!
