MiniJumbuk began handcrafting Australia's favourite wool bedding products in the small regional town of Naracoorte over forty years ago. In 1975, Don Wray a recently retired, local shearer with a passion for wool, purchased a small wool-based business and set about transforming it into a world class operation. While the business has boomed since those early days, its home in the heart of South Australia's Limestone Coast remains unchanged.
Midway between Adelaide and Melbourne, the Limestone Coast is centrally located and allows easy access to major markets. Regional South Australia also offers several other advantages including a slightly slower, more relaxed pace of life, greater affordability of land prices and the opportunity to join other rural communities proudly contributing more than $20 billion to our State's economy. 1
With a population just over 6000, Naracoorte is a small country town with an incredible sense of pride and community spirit. Set in an idyllic rural landscape, the town offers a wealth of opportunity to local residents. High quality health, education and sporting facilities alongside a diverse range of employment prospects make this small hub a great place to live and work. For MiniJumbuk, the result is an amazing team of long standing, loyal employees that ensure every product is hand finished to perfection.
Surrounded by lush, green paddocks dotted with magnificent redgums, Naracoorte also offers the perfect environment for some of Australia's best wool growing enterprises. Bountiful fresh air and sunshine, along with the region's fertile 'terra rossa' soil provide the ideal conditions needed to produce reliable pastures for paddocks filled to the brim with flocks of healthy sheep, happily growing wool for MiniJumbuk's premium bedding products.
Regional SA and its amazing benefits - for MiniJumbuk there is no other choice.
