It is with much sadness that we confirm the news of the passing of our founder, Don Wray, who left us at the age of 72 earlier this week. It is a moment of great sorrow as we come to terms with this loss. Don was not only the visionary behind our company but also a pillar of strength, wisdom, and inspiration for many of us.

Don was a mentor, a friend, and a guiding figure in the MiniJumbuk journey. His passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the MiniJumbuk brand have left an indelible mark on our organisation. His vision and hard work laid the foundation upon which we have built a successful company today. Don’s ability to connect with people and create lasting friendships like no other, was a unique gift that made him and the people around him, feel special.

From humble beginnings as a shearer, Don was a trailblazer in the use of wool and developed the first commercially sold wool filled quilt in Australia. With his pioneering spirit, Don transformed a cottage souvenir sheep business into a successful international wool bedding brand.

Don established strong partnerships and friendships, building rapport and laying in place foundations for the relationships we have today with our customers and throughout our supply chain.

A passionate advocate of the Limestone Coast, Don generously contributed to local events, community organisations and sporting groups in Naracoorte and around the Limestone Coast.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to his wife Denise, along with Anne and their children Andrew and Emily and all other members of Don’s wider family and friends during this difficult time.
